Welcome to the newly revamped FOR WRITERS area! (Beware: We’re still under construction. But as long as you mind the potholes and keep the wolf whistles to yourself, you’re welcome to putter around and see what there is to see!)

Being an author isn’t just a creative venture. It’s also a job. I love my job, and I’m thrilled to be paid to do something I love. But I also know that there’s more to being a professional novelist than just writing the best book I’m capable of. There’s also the business side. And the balancing my work and my life side (which is especially hard to do, in my opinion, when you work from home and work is always right there).

I’m very grateful to the many wonderful authors and writer friends who have shared their wisdom and advice with me over the years. And, as you probably know if you’ve read through the rest of the site, I’m also a big believer in paying it forward. Look for articles about the business side of writing coming soon.
