Kay in Blog Land

If you’re looking for inspiration with a healthy dose of humor and good cheer, look no further. Kay has two energizing blogs just for you!

The You 2.0 Blog   |   Living Your Five

You 2.0The official Kay Cassidy blog

You 2.0 is a bit different than a traditional author blog. It’s all about pursuing your dreams, changing your world, gratitude, and paying it forward. It’s also about the books we love, the things (and people!) we care about, and making sure there’s plenty of laughter to go around.

The You 2.0 blog features regular weekly series including:

– The year-long Teen Author Challenge for aspiring writers (hosted every Tuesday).

– The popular Booklover of the Week series featuring interviews with industry pros like agents and editors, booksellers, and YA book bloggers chatting about You 2.0 topics and why they love the YA and middle grades genres (hosted every Wednesday).

– The Friday Spotlight series featuring sneak peeks inside the writing caves of YA and middle grades authors, Librarian Spotlights, Author Spotlights, and so much more (hosted, as you might guess, every Friday).

Plus there are lots of blog discussions about books, movies, TV shows, favorite things, and Kay sharing insider stories about her writing journey.

Kay also hosts TONS of contests on the blog including the You 2.0 monthly contest, her Bundle o’ Bookmarks giveaway, and a monthly giveaway in the Teen Author Challenge. For your chance to win, all you have to do is participate in the comments section. Be sure to follow the blog via Google Friend Connect or your favorite RSS feed so you don’t miss out on the spontaneous contests too!

Living Your FiveChanging our world, one Fiver at a Time

Living Your Five is about making the world a better place, one person at a time. It’s about understanding what you care about and how you can make a positive difference in the world around you in ways large and small.

Kay founded the Living Your Five web project in partnership with fellow YA authors Tera Lynn Childs, Becca Fitzpatrick, and New York Times bestselling author Alyson Noel to create an online community where people from around the globe can come together to share how they’re making a difference in their own piece of the world.

The Founding Fivers began by sharing their Five with the world. Their Five are the five areas in which they personally want to make a difference in the world. Every two weeks, they share the progress they’ve made toward living their Five. They cheer each other on, share the obstacles they overcome along the way, and give you a sneak peek into the extraordinary things that can happen when you commit to living your Five.

And it’s not just about Kay, Tera, Becca, and Alyson. It’s about YOU! It’s about everyone working together and cheering each other on as we change our world. As the Fivers’ favorite quote says:

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

Kay’s ready to be that change. And if you’re ready to embrace your amazing potential, the Fivers want you to be that change too.
