Update on CINDY ON A MISSION

Holy smokes, it’s almost December! :-)

Things have been hopping here at Casa Cassidy. I’ve been getting a lot of tweets and emails this month about CINDY ON A MISSION timing and wanted to give you all a quick update.

It’s been a whirlwind couple of months (including the exciting sale of THE CINDERELLA SOCIETY to Editora Record in Brazil at auction!) and there are some BIG changes coming for me in 2011 and beyond… most of which I can’t announce publicly yet. Gah!

One thing I can tell you is that CINDY ON A MISSION will not be coming out in Spring 2011 as originally printed in the back of THE CINDERELLA SOCIETY. (So don’t worry, you haven’t missed ARCs on it. LOL) I’ll have more details to share about Jess and the Cindys in early 2011 and promise to keep you posted on their further adventures!

In the meantime, there are lots of exciting new things in the works too (including two new books I’m over le moon about!). But I’m saving that scoop for a big announcement in 2011. Just know that I’m SUPER excited about Sekret Project D (a dark YA with a kick-butt heroine) and Sekret Project CR (a fast-paced middle grades cipher mystery) and I’m having an absolute blast. I can’t wait for 2011 and beyond!

Have I mentioned I love my job? :-)

    • Ha! I know, right? After I posted it I thought, “Gee, Kay, could you be any more vague?” LOL Ah well. :-)

  5. YAy for all your news. I can’t wait to see your other projects! I think I may need to now initiate a plan in an attempt to get Cindy on a Mission from your laptop or something of that nature :D

    • Thanks, Erica! And ha on the stealing. I am very stealthy and have excellent traps set in my office. Good luck with that, babes. ;-)

  6. Can’t wait to get the details on your secret projects – they sound fabulous! And I will devour Cindy on a Mission no matter when it comes out – can’t wait to pre-order it. :)

    • Thanks, Steph! I can’t wait to finally have my very own copy of Kat!! :-)

  10. wen is cindy on a mission coming out???????????????????????

  11. I have recently read “The Cinderella Society” and want to know when/if the sequel is coming out. It’s been bugging me that I couldn’t find it anywhere on the internet and I noticed that it’s been multiple years since the original release date of “Cindy on a Mission”. Please send another update on this book soon.

    • Hi Hannah! Unfortunately, the publisher opted not to publish the sequel, CINDY ON A MISSION. I will, however, be launching a brand-new series this summer! Have you registered for my author newsletter? All of the new series details (and sneak peeks) will be announced there. You can sign up in the left column of my home page. :-) Happy reading!

  12. I read The Cinderella Society a few years ago and LOVED it. I have been eagerly awaiting this next book for over two years now, especially after that dramatic ending, which made me just HAVE to find out what happens next, and just thought last night to find out what had happened to it. When I found out it would never be published, I was IN SHOCK. WHY ON EARTH DOES YOUR PUBLISHER NOT WANT TO PUBLISH IT????? DON’T THEY REALIZE HOW MANY GIRLS THEY ARE BITTERLY DISAPPOINTING???????
I’d say you should find a different company to publish it. Your first book is so amazing, and so many people are dying for a second one, I’m sure you could find another publisher to do it. It’s great that you’re doing another book, but you should really finish your first series before moving on to another one. Jess and the Cindy’s will always take priority in my heart!
Find a way to publish the book. I’m sure we could start a petition or something to convince your publisher. Or lots of girls will be miserably disappointed…
